µ − e conversion in nuclei within the CMSSM seesaw: universality versus non-universality Abstract In this paper we study µ − e conversion in nuclei within the context of the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, enlarged by three right handed neutrinos and their supersymmetric partners, and where the neutrino masses are generated via a seesaw mechanism. Two different scenarios with either universal or non-universal soft supersymmetry breaking Higgs masses at the gauge coupling unification scale are considered. In the first part we present a complete one-loop computation of the conversion rate for this process that includes the photon-, Z-boson, and Higgs-boson penguins, as well as box diagrams, and compare their size in the two considered scenarios. Then, in these two scenarios we analyse the relevance of the various parameters on the conversion rates, particularly emphasising the role played by the heavy neutrino masses, tan β, and especially θ 13. In the case of hierachical heavy neutrinos, an extremely high sensitivity of the rates to θ 13 is indeed found. The last part of this work is devoted to the study of the interesting loss of correlation between the µ − e conversion and µ → eγ rates that occurs in the non-universal scenario. In the case of large tan β and light H 0 Higgs boson, an enhanced ratio of the µ − e to µ → eγ rates, with respect to the universal case is found, and this could be tested with the future experimental sensitivities.

Precision Analysis of the Lightest MSSM Higgs Boson at Future Colliders
We investigate the sensitivity of observables measurable in e+e−, γγ and μ+μ− collisions for distinguishing the properties of the light neutral CP-even Higgs boson in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) from those of a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson with the same mass. We explore first the available parameter space in the constrained MSSM (CMSSM), with universal s...
متن کاملVarying the Universality of Supersymmetry-Breaking Contributions to MSSM Higgs Boson Masses
We consider the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM) with varying amounts of non-universality in the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the Higgs scalar masses. In addition to the constrained MSSM (CMSSM) in which these are universal with the soft supersymmetry-breaking contributions to the squark and slepton masses at the input GUT scale, we consider scenario...
متن کاملEffects of SO(10)-inspired scalar non-universality on the MSSM parameter space at large tanβ
We analyze the parameter space of the (μ > 0, A0 = 0) CMSSM at large tanβ with a small degree of non-universality originating from D-terms and Higgs-sfermion splitting inspired by SO(10) GUT models. The effects of such non-universalities on the sparticle spectrum and observables such as (g − 2)μ, B(b → Xsγ), the SUSY threshold corrections to the bottom mass and ΩCDMh 2 are examined in detail an...

متن کاملBeyond the CMSSM without an accelerator: proton decay and direct dark matter detection
We consider two potential non-accelerator signatures of generalizations of the well-studied constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (CMSSM). In one generalization, the universality constraints on soft supersymmetry-breaking parameters are applied at some input scale [Formula: see text]below the grand unification (GUT) scale [Formula: see text], a scenario referred to as 'sub-GUT'. The...
